There are a number of flea products available which include:

Frontline: Frontline is a safe and effective product to use on both cats and dogs (including kittens and puppies). It comes in both spray or spot-on. For both dogs and cats it controls and prevents flea infestation and biting lice. For dogs it also controls brown dog ticks and paralysis ticks. 
Frontline spray can be used from  2 days of age and spot-on from 8 weeks for both dogs and cats.



Advantage: A spot-on application that lasts for a month and can be used for both cats and dogs. Advantage treats and prevents fleas (larval stages are killed in surroundings), reduces the incidence of flea allergy dermatitis and treats and prevents lice. Advantage can ne used from 7 weeks in dogs and 8 weeks in cats. 



Advocate: Advocate is a spot-on application that lasts for a month. For both dogs and cats it treats and prevents fleas (larval flea stages are killed in surroundings), prevents heartworm, controls intestinal worms and larvae and controls ear mites. 
For dogs this product also controls lice, sarcoptic mange and gerneralised demodectic mange. 



Comfortis: A great new product out in a tablet form. Given monthly with a meal, Comfortis prevent and control flea infestations (kills 100% fleas within 4 hours) and flea allergy dermatitis. This is only available to dogs and can be used from 14 weeks of age.


Advantix: A spot-on application used monthly for dogs from 7 weeks of age which repels and kills paralysis ticks, repels and kills bush and brown dog ticks, kills fleas, kills flea larvae, reduces flea allergy dermatitis, repels/kills mosquitoes and sandflies, controls lice and repels stable (biting) flies.


Revolution: A spot-on application that lasts for a month. For both dogs and cats it kills adult fleas, flea eggs and flea larvae in the environment, treats controls and prevents flea infestations, controls flea allergy dermatitis, prevents heartworm and treats and controls ear mites. 
For dogs this product also treats and controls sarcoptic mange and for cats it treats and controls intestinal hookworm and roundworm. 
Revolution can be used from 6 weeks in dogs and 8 weeks in cats.
